Applying for Google Adsense Step by Step

Google

a letter from Google
Adsense business is the most famous online business today. We can read some entrepreneur gain thousand dollars from this ad. Some people are tempted with this program. They build a blog and hope get money from Adsense. Unfortunately, they could not get even for a penny.
Some people like my friend are failed to get adsense account. He tried many times to submit it but Google always rejected him. He used different computer for applying but he also failed. He tried to change the home address but Google also rejected him. Perhaps Google know who is the submitter. I felt lucky because Google had approved my application. I got adsense account in 2007. I have no any trouble to submitting adsense.
My friend confused why I got adsense easily. I said I did not do cheat ways. I just submit and fill the data honestly. I never make a cheat for applying it because I know Google will detect our cheating soon or later. I just make a blog from Blogspot hosting in English Language. Google will not receive any content that is not supported by adsense language. Google adsense does not support some Asian language.
Finally, I knew my friend did not use English language. He used local language that does not support adsense. Certainly he failed to submit adsense.

There is some step that guides you for making adsense account:
1. Make a Google mail account
If you have no Google Mail account, you should make it free. Adsense does not receive any free email such as yahoo mail, Lycos mail, hotmail, etc.
2. Prepare your blog or your website
If you have no website or blog, you can make it easily. Since adsense is Google product, you can get Google’s blog or Blogspot. Blogspot allows you to put Adsense account. If you have money, you can buy paid hosting blog. Certainly, Paid-hosting blog allow you to put any ads. The paid hosting blog is typepad, radio user land, movable type, etc.
Today some hosting offers free website too. You can try 000webhost.com and get one free. Buy the domain name or get domain free. This webhost allow you to put adsense too.
3. Build a blog with rich content
Google likes content. Unfortunately, Google does not like picture or video. You should make much content to get adsense account. Ads also are related with word not the pictures. Enrich your article with variety keyword. Choose marketable keyword to get most traffic.
I suggest you use keyword software. Some software is expensive, but you can find the free. Type the key and get keyword suggestion from the software.
4. Avoid free content moreover duplicate content
A free article does not help you to bring much visitor. I have tried filling a blog with 46 free articles. I could not get any visitor to the blog. Finally, I post the blog with my own original content. I think the web who suggest me free content is not true.
If you have money, you can buy unique content. The price of nice articles is around $ 30 - $ 40. Buying article is allowed by adsense. You should be sure the content is original and good.
Some people want to find money fast. They make dozen blog with duplicate content with software. I do not think this plan could work. They think they could multiply the earning from blog. Some people dare to copy-paste other blog. They steal other article without embed any links. Certainly, they could be jail.
5. Do not make illegal content
Porn and violent sites is the best traffic site but Adsense forbid you. Beside those sites, Google also forbid illegal content website like hacking content, casino or gambling, drug, and excessive profanity.
6. Do not make a website for adsense only said uncle Joel
Uncle Joel is a famous adsense entrepreneur. He suggested avoiding adsense oriented website or blog. Most people have money oriented only when they build a website or blog. This kind entrepreneur will be bored, if the earning goes down.
7. Go to Google Adsense
Click sign up button at right side. Fill the blank box with real data. Do not ever cheat. It will make loss yourself. Follow below step to get adsense account:
· Fill the URL your website and its language
· You must agree your website free from porn and incentive to click ads
· Choose the type account whether business or individual
· Fill your name, address and phone number correctly
· Check accepting adsense newsletter if you desire. You may check declining if you do not like newsletter
· Select what you are heard about adsense box.
Alternative Adsense
If you could not pass the Adsense requirement, you should find another alternative for your blog. You can put paid per click ads like Adbrite, Bidvertiser, Kontera, Yahoo publisher, etc. They may give you some bucks for you too.
1. Adbrite
Unlike Adsense, You should find any company or person who wants put ads on your blog or site. You can set the payment and .Adbrite offers cost per click CPC for text ads and cost per impression (CPM) for banner ads.
Adbrite does not allow any website or blog use duplicate content moreover free articles. You should build your own articles.
2. Bidvertiser
Blog or website owner could offer the price to the advertisers. You can get the highest bidder for your ads space. The blog will get revenue from visitor who clicks your ads.
3. Kontera
use Kontera if your adsense earning over $ 50 per month. Kontera work same as Google that pay you per clicks.
4. Yahoo publisher Network (YPN)
Like adsense but only US resident could apply this ads. Unlike Google adsense, YPN allows you to set the kind of ads.
Avoiding firing
Some people have been fired by adsense because they had broken the Adsense’s rule. You should not make any mistakes in this business. I have read a blogger who has been fired from adsense. He tried applied again with different name and different address. Unfortunately, Google does not accept his application.

To avoid firing, you should obey the rule. Here some tips for avoiding fired:
  1. Do not click your adsense. Some people try to cheat by hitting their own adsense. Although you use another computer; Google will recognize your click too.
  2. Do not order your friend, family, and neighbors click your ads. Google does not allow it.
  3. Do not give incentive for clicking your ads. Some blog or website gives salary for visitor who clicks your ads. I think Google will kick you from the ads.
  4. Do not put competitor adsense at same blog. You should not put Adrbite, bidvertiser, or Yahoo publisher at your blog which has adsense.
  5. Do not post pay to review (PTR) program. Google does not like the PTR.
  6. Do not use robot to raise your traffic. This cheat way that make you fired.
Always honest to run any business included adsense. You will get money, if you try hard and be patience

Google AdSense for Beginners

What Is Google AdSense

Google AdSense is a way to rent out your online real-estate and make money. Your online real-estate could be a personal website, a blog, or just articles that you write on HubPages, or some other online writing site.
As with physical real-estate, the rent you get will be dependent on the quality of your property. Some properties are well located and well maintained; while others are dirty and delapidated.
Google AdSense, however, will only pay you when visitors click on the advertisements they put on your online pages.

How much money can you make with Google AdSense?
Well that would depend on the quality of your content. The better the online property, the more visitor activity, which would lead to greater returns.
Realize though that most people will earn very little initially. Even good writers will start off with relatively low Google AdSense earnings while they learn how to market their content online.

Join Google AdSense

If you think that you would like to share some of your ideas online, have some fun, and make some money, then you may want to join Google AdSense.
In the application process, you will need to provide Google with a website (URL) where they get to see some examples of your content. According to the people in the know, your chances for getting Google AdSense approval will be higher if you use a Blogger site in your Google AdSense application.
Therefore, you may want to first join Blogger and start a blog. Make at least one good English posting before submitting it in your Google AdSense application. If you are considering copying your content from someone else, then know that plagiarising content is against Google AdSense's Terms of Service. "Thou shalt not steal" is also in most of the major holy books. Are a few bucks really worth eternal damnation?
The amount of time it takes for Google AdSense approval will vary from application to application. Mine took a couple of days. While you are waiting, make sure to continue updating your blog, and write at least one post every day. Once you get approval, you can relax your blogging schedule.
Note - It is against AdSense TOS to get more than one account so only apply for one Google AdSense account.
This may all sound like a lot of work, but the application forms are really very simple to complete. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is a visit to the dentist and 1 is vegging out in front of the t.v. I would rate this at around a 3.

Google AdSense Reports

Now comes the best part - looking at how much you have earned. Log into your brand new Google AdSense account, and you will be presented with a Google AdSense report.
Your Google AdSense report contains the following important information -Page impressions (number of views), Number of Clicks , CTR , eCPM, andEarnings.
CTR means Click Through Rate and eCPM which means effective Cost per Thousand Impressions.
CTR tells you the percentage of visitors that clicked on a Google AdSense advertisement. A CTR of 100% means that every visitor that entered your Google AdSense article(s) clicked on an advertisement.
eCPM tells you how much your articles can earn per thousand impressions. The advertisements for your online articles can vary within a big range. eCPM gives you an average measure of how much your article can earn for every thousand visitors.
Publishing your Google AdSense CTR and eCPM is against Google AdSense TOS. So do not publish these statistics anywhere, not even in your screenshots.
Initially, all of your Google AdSense enabled pages, including all of your hubs from HubPages, your blog pages, and your personal website pages are in the same group/channel in your Google AdSense report.
To better analyze your Google AdSense earnings, you probably want to divide some of these pages into different channels.

Google AdSense Channels

Some people put each and every one of their articles (i.e. web page) on a separate channel. However, Google Analytics already tracks page by page information for you, so it is easier to just track your AdSense earnings from individual articles through Google Analytics.
What you may wish to do, is to create separate Google AdSense Channels for your personal website, your personal blog, your external blogs (e.g. Blogger, or Webpress), and each of the online writing sites you participate in (e.g. hubpages.com).
Here is a step by step guide on how to create channels in Google AdSense:
  1. Log into your Google AdSense account.
  2. Click on the AdSense Setup tab at the top of your Google AdSense window.
  3. Click on Channels.
  4. Under AdSense for Content select URL channels.
  5. Select + Add new URL channels.
  6. Type in each of the URLs you want to track in a separate line. For example, I have typed in the URL of my personal blog - shibashake.com/shibainublog
  7. Click the Add Channels button.
Custom channels allow you to track specific Google AdSense advertisements or groups of Google Adsense advertisements. It is only relevant if are in control of creating and placing your own AdSense advertisements, for example in your personal hosted website.

Filtering Unwanted Google AdSense Ads

Another very useful feature in Google AdSense is the Competitive Ad Filter option. This feature allows you to list all of the websites that you do not want to receive Google AdSense advertisements from.
You may wonder why you would want to do such a thing since that may limit your AdSense earnings. Nevertheless some advertisements may just be too distracting and may ruin the look of your article, others may be from groups (religious, political, or something else) that you really disagree with.
Here is a step by step guide on how to filter out unwanted Google AdSense ads.
  1. Log into your Google AdSense account.
  2. Click on the AdSense Setup tab at the top of your Google AdSense window.
  3. Click on the Competitive Ad Filter link which is directly to the right of theChannels link.
  4. Make sure AdSense for Content is selected.
  5. Enter all the URLs you would like to filter out. One URL per line.
  6. Click on the Save Changes button.
If there is a particular advertisement in one of your articles that you would like to filter out, here are Google's instructions on how to locate the URL to enter into theCompetitive Ad Filter tool. I use the second option - View the Link Properties.

This is it!
Now you are ready to make your riches from home with Google AdSense. Make sure to review these Google AdSense program policies carefully to avoid getting banned from Google AdSense.

Add Google AdSense Ads to Your WordPress Blog

If you want to use Google AdSense with your WordPress blog, there are two things you need to add - Google AdSense advertisement code, and a privacy policy link.
You can easily add both into your WordPress blog by using the text widgets that come with WordPress 2.2 or later. If you have an older WordPress release, you can enable widgets by installing the widgets plugin.
To use these widgets, you must install a WordPress theme that is widget-ready, i.e. a WordPress theme that has predefined widget areas. It is best to choose a WordPress theme that is easily customizable, and has several widget-ready areas where you can insert your Google AdSense advertisements, or other useful widget functions.
Visit Shiba WordPress to see an example of a widget-ready WordPress theme with Google AdSense advertisements, and a privacy policy.
Note - WordPress.com does not allow advertisements on the blogs that are hosted on their site. To monetize your WordPress blog, you must host it elsewhere.

How to Add Google AdSense Advertisements

  1. Log into your Google AdSense account. If you do not have a Google AdSense account, here are some tips on how to get started with Google AdSense.
  2. Once you are logged in, click on the AdSense Setup tab on top of your screen. Then select Get Ads to create new advertisements, or Manage Adsto access previous advertisements you have created.
  3. After you finish creating an advertisement, Google AdSense will provide you with the code for displaying that advertisement on your blog or web-page. You can also access that code at a later date by going into AdSense Setup >> Manage Ads, and clicking on the Code link to the right of your advertisement unit.
  4. Open another browser window and log into your WordPress blog.
  5. Click on the Appearance menu on the left of your WordPress dashboard, and then select the Widgets option.

Screen-shot of the Widgets menu in your WordPress dashboard.
The middle column of the screen shows all the available widgets, and the right column of the screen shows all the available widget areas for your current WordPress theme. If your current theme does not support widgets, then WordPress will show the following message when you access the Widgets menu option.
The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions. ~~ [From WordPress Dashboard]

If there is no Widget option in your WordPress dashboard then the WordPress release you are using does not come with widget plugin support, and you will need to install the WordPress widgets plugin manually.

Add Google AdSense Code into a WordPress Text Widget

Now you are ready to add your Google AdSense code into your WordPress blog.
6. Click on the widget area in the right column where you want to insert your Google AdSense advertisement to open it up.
7. Drag a Text Widget box from the middle column and drop it in the widget area on the right column.
8. Click on the right corner of the Text widget to open it.
9. Copy your Google AdSense code and paste it into the Text widgetarea.
10. Click on the Save button at the bottom right of the Text widget to save your Google AdSense code.
11. Refresh your WordPress blog and your Google AdSense advertisement should now be displayed in the widget area that you just edited.
12. You can add as many Text widgets as you want to your WordPress blog but remember that Google AdSense only allows 3 advertisement units per web-page.

How to Add a Privacy Policy to Your WordPress Blog

Google AdSense now requires that you add a privacy policy to all your pages that display Google AdSense advertisements. This privacy policy must include a cookie disclosure notice.
AdSense publishers must have and abide by a privacy policy that discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users' browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website. ~~ [Excerpt from Google AdSense Program Policies]
  1. Create a privacy policy page in your WordPress blog. For more information on what needs to be included in your privacy policy, refer to the Google Advertising Cookie and Privacy Policies page.
  2. Drag and drop a new Text widget into the area where you want your privacy policy link to appear.
  3. Add your privacy policy link to your Text widget. Your privacy policy link code may look something like this -
<a href="[Your Privacy Policy HTML link]">Privacy Policy</a>
Failure to add a privacy policy may lead to rejection of your Google AdSense account application or to the disruption of your current Google AdSense account.

The Top Highest Paying Google AdSense Keywords: Do Your Own Research!

I have been writing a lot recently about search engine optimisation, blogging, affiliate marketing, backlinking, and other things which relate to making money online. One thing that I would like to avoid completely is becoming one of those people that makes a living telling people how to make a living, I am certainly not making an online income which I can call a 'liveable wage'. If I was to hazard a guess I would say that 98% of those that try and tell you how to make a living online either a) were not making a living online before they were writing about money, or b) have never made a living online. I read an article recently which claimed that almost all profitable independent websites made their cash by telling people how to make cash themselves, an impossible and unsustainable circle.
Instead, I will tell you how not to make money online - that is certainly an area from which I can draw upon my existing knowledge! I recently read a theory that you need 10000 page views per day to make a living online, well I have 6000 page views per day and make less than 10% of what I would call a 'liveable wage'. That logic is of course completely flawed, as most of my page views are on pages which attract reads on the basis of keywords which make me very little (if any) advertising revenue....... "only write to valuable keywords then",some will shout...... that's all well and good but I have yet to truly find a high paying keyword which doesn't come with some of the internet's best search engine optimisers competing for them! The truth is that I do write to well paying keywords, the result is almost zero traffic, and an occasionally worthwhile bit of revenue. It is my low paying keywords which earn me the bulk of my crust online, in fact about 75% of my income comes from traffic generated by low paying and low competition keywords. Sometimes my days earnings are made up entirely of dozens of clicks between 5c - 20c in value.

Ignore Highest Paying Adsense Keyword Lists

I didn't really write this hub to teach you anything new, it was more to put on record my thoughts about those 'highest paying cpc' or 'highest paying keyword' lists, I know for a fact that these lists generate a fair bit of traffic and I hope that some of this traffic now reaches me on this hub! The truth is that anybody who thinks that they will make money by finding these lists is probably going to end up severely disappointed, even those that compile and distribute those lists know not to subsequently compete for the keywords. For somebody starting out in the world of AdSense right now I firmly believe that there is more money to be made finding hugely popular keyword phrases with low competition but with low cpc's. I know of two hubbers that make a fair bit of money by competing for low cpc traffic and then seeking to push it towards higher value pages of online content, or even better to affiliate products on Amazon or Ebay. I would quite like to demonstrate my beliefs here, so I searched for the term 'Highest paying keywords 2010' on Google. This search alone brought me more than 500,000 results!
Now lets look at the absolute crap on the front page. The first result was a torrent file listing '500 High Paying Keywords', I can't criticise the selection as I refuse to use file sharing networks on my new top of the range desktop. I will point out that 'high' is subjective and anybody could type in the term 'MBA' right now on the Google Keyword Tool and find almost 100 'high' paying keywords. It was Google result 3 which really confirmed my suspicions. How this man and his tacky blogger template got that high up the search engines with this phrase I do not know - perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he compiled his list of on December 19th 2009 in time for a Page Rank update on 1st January 2010 (wanker!). What really takes the biscuit is the length of the list, he has listed just 16 keywords (that would have taken him two minutes) and some of them are amongst the most competitive keyword topics on the Internet. I really don't want to give this mans blog credibility by linking to him, in fact I am going to launch a full out assault on getting this page above that one on Google by the time of the next Page Rank update, instead I am going to do a competition analysis for each keywords in it's simplest form. The other complete scandel about these lists are the use of the word 'earning'. The cpc relates to the estimated cost per click to the advertiser, not the amount paid to a publisher, often the publisher will recieve half of the revenue from each click.

Just How Crap The 'High Paying AdSense Keywords 2010' List Is......

Firstly, I should point out that a cpc of £2.68 is in no way unusual or really 'high' at all, I could guess say 200 random words and phrases right now and chances are that 180 of them would be worth more than £2.68. The table above shows just how many people search for the first three keyword phrases on his list, along with how many search results google shows for each phrase. I took a closer look at the phrase 'domains yahoo' which gets 22000 global searches per month, equivalent to 0.002 visits per month for each of the indexed phrases. Of course, most of these searchers will go straight to the top search result which is of course Yahoo's business domain service at smallbusiness.yahoo.com/. Lets assume that the £2.68 paid by advertises for each click on this keyword phrase makes £1.34 to the publisher (that's you or me), we are competing for 22000 people each month. Of those 22,000 people only 1000 will realistically click through to you. There is £1340 per month to fight over for that keyword, that is all. Assuming that every single searcher clicked the top result, and you were the top result, you will make something around this each and every month. A good income of course, but what would it take you to get to the top of Google's front page for this search term? According to SEO for Firefox you will need to achieve a minimum of Page Rank 7 on a 13 year old domain, gather something in the region of 328 million dofollow backlinks, and create such a stir online that you achieve thousands of social networking bookmarks.
To cut a long story short, you are going to be fighting over scraps unless you manage to get on the front page, whilst every one of the sites on the front page has at least several thousand backlinks. You just are not going to achieve through a hubpage, or a blogger blog, and thus this great bit of keyword advice was entirely useless! But this amateur blogger doesn't care, because he is 3rd on Google for people searching for 2010 keywords..... using a post title which incorporates a more moderate keyword worth £0.86 cpc. The morale of this hub, which is in itself pointless, is never to trust anybody who tries to give you keyword tips. If the keyword was a good one, they would be using it themselves, anybody who is serious about making money in this game should at least be spending considerable amounts of time playing with the Google Keyword Tool and using it alongside a valuable analysis tool such as SEO for Firefox - both of those programmes are completely free of charge. The next time somebody tries to tell you what keywords to use, steal their 'real' keywords - just like me.
